Last Wednesday we all went to see the SF Giants play the Phillies at AT&T Park in the city.
The day started out raining and cold (you can see the puddles in the Phillies dug out where manager, Charlie Manual, is standing). We thought we might be doomed for an interminable rain delay.
The players were all business (they didn't sign any autographs). Here's Chase Utley leaving the dugout. Auntie Anne, I know you're swooning!
I don't think it's gonna rain but those clouds sure are moving fast!
The sun had other ideas and provided some blue sky for the game. We were grateful.
Let me get my shades on...
The Phillies were losing almost the whole way but we had a grand ol' time regardless.
Finally, there we were in the bottom of the 9th inning down 4:1 and 2 outs and Giants fans were heading to their cars, sure of victory. Well
lo' and behold the Phillies started a run just then and, after taking the game to 2 extra innings,
they won in the 11th inning.
Leo is definitely a good luck charm!
