Camping Near the Beach!

The Happy Campers

Recently, we went camping for 5 days at a wonderful kid-friendly campsite near the ocean.  It was almost like vacationing in a really cool park.  We stayed in a deluxe cabin that allowed us to have amenities like beds, a bathroom, and sink, but also the traditional camping things like bbqing, a fire pit, and enjoying the outdoors.  It WAS nice to sleep in a bed at the end of the day, I have to say!  Leo had a great first experience sleeping in a bunk bed (lower bunk).  It was a private little play area for him.

We all enjoyed time away from reality (even though there was a TV in the cabin, we never watched it!) and only having to make simple decisions, like when to go to the pool versus the beach.  I'm already wishing we could go back!  As is Leo, for that matter. He LOVED the entire experience, and the bouncy pillow there was no small part of it - lol.  All three of us are pining for a speedy return because it allowed us to focus on play, not work, and really just hang out as a family stress-free.
