So right now I'm running with the philosophy that the best way to make short work of a long wait is to keep busy doing what I can. In that vein, we're getting the nursery ready, starting with redoing the closet. Between Mom's Painting and Dad's elbow grease, we didn't do half bad, huh? Can't wait to paint the room and finish the nursery once we know the gender of our child. Right now, he or she is probably around 5 months old. It's hard to think of the moments we aren't there to experience and celebrate with our baby, but we try to focus on the whole rest of their lives that we will share. Knowing they are being loved and cared for helps - a lot. We can't wait, though, for them to be here and begin making a mess of their beautiful closet! LOL
This blog chronicles our adoption journey, our union with our beautiful son, Leo, and the "happily every after" we are in the process of enjoying right now!
