He's a flirt!

Well, it's been almost a week since we returned from Korea and our little Leo is finally beginning to settle into life here. He's pooped (several times!), likes to pull himself up by his hands and cruise around our family room holding onto furniture, has an increasingly healthy appetite, and is a real jokester. Mommy and Leo enjoy making faces at each other, making silly sounds and raspberries back and forth, and clapping hands. Today, Leo initiated a game of peek-a-boo by holding up his bib and hiding behind it, only to reveal his little face a few seconds later. Not only is he really funny, he knows it and it cracks him up, too! REALLY CUTE. He enjoys all of the cards and gifts he has received and is fascinated by technology (phones, laptop, remotes, etc). Rob and I are still struggling with sleep and time, but it's getting better and we feel like we are more able to take care of some things around the house. Leo likes the playpen a lot so that helps give us a little time every so often. Leo is overall very resilient; after a painful blood test we thought he would be a wreck but during the car-ride home he was back to his funny self, flirting with mommy and playing with her hair. We are still struggling to get him to sleep (I hear Rob humming to him and consoling him in the nursery as we speak) but every day is an improvement upon the last. Most importantly, while he is still grieving his foster family, it's clear that he trusts us, likes us, and is beginning to seek our approval and attention. We feel extremely lucky that he is our son. Enjoy the new photos!
