Okay, so we tried camping a few weeks ago...
...and in many ways it was a wonderful experience. The tall trees were awe-inspiring, it was fun to watch Leo play with his friends for an extended period of time, and and it was a chance to "get away from it all." All true, but the temps were also really cold and even though we had a winter sleeper for Leo, we were all freezing as the nighttime dipped into the 40's and 30's. Plus, Leo just couldn't get used to the idea of sleeping with us and waking up in a tent instead of his crib - understandably. So we cut our trip a bit short and the next day all of us slept for hours and hours, including Leo! It was a dizzying, curvy drive to and from the campsite and I was grateful to be in my own bed with my refrigerator nearby - lol. Enjoy the pics!
Leo considers an alternative to his highchair...
Leo is dwarfed by these beautiful, ancient red wood trees.
One cool camper
