Today is a very, very special day - it's the one year anniversary of the day we were matched with Leo (meaning we received the photos above, social and medical history, and we knew in our hearts he was our son). It was a life-changing day, a crazy, wonderful day, and yet it was surreal to meet our son first through photos and a typed page, before meeting him in person during our visit to Korea in November and finally bringing him home in late January. When we saw his little face in the photos - those cheeks! - we fell in love with him immediately and he was our little boy. Each day as we waited to get the okay to go back to Korea to bring him to his new home was a mixed bag. We were full of love for Leo, yet sad, and sometimes angry/frustrated/despondent that the wait was far longer than expected. Now that he has been with us over 4 months, we are over the moon with joy. We love each and every day with him and can't imagine our lives without him. As part of our celebration today, we gave Leo an adorable frog balloon and a mini-ice-cream sundae. He was all smiles :)
Below are some family photos we recently had taken (thanks, Stephen & Anwen for Mr. Blue Dog - all the way from England!). One year, baby! We've come a long way! To mark the day, we've given the blog a whole new look. Hope you like it :)

beautiful photos! you all are beaming.
