Family Visit - Part 4

Here are the final round of photos from our jam-packed trip back east. We're still recuperating!

We spent an afternoon with Aunt Erin and Uncle Rich at Peddler's Village. Uncle Rich did a great job showing Leo how to be a fireman and Aunt Erin kept Leo safe on the merry-go-round, despite a few screams :)

On the last day of our visit, we visited my grandparents in Brooklyn. My grandfather, James, is 93 years old and my grandmother, Mary, is 89. It was a thrill to watch Leo meet his great-grandparents and yet it was also sad to be reminded of how little time Leo will actually spend with them. Nevertheless, it was a very meaningful afternoon and worth driving in the thunder and lightening storm we had to drive through to see them. Leo even got to try some traditional Syrian food and play with the "Moody Mary" doll that my sister and I played with when we were small. I really got a kick out of seeing Leo play with something from my own childhood. The last photo shows Granny Martha helping Leo explore the bathrooms at the airport before we went through security - so cute!
