Wow!
Leo has started saying the word "Wow." And he doesn't just say it, he delivers it with drama and good effect. "Woooooooowww," he says, almost as if it has multiple syllables. Right now he's in a word frenzy. He is soaking up new words as if they are going out of style and constantly wants to look at books and understand what he is looking at. "Car" is no longer enough. Now we talk about steering wheels and hub caps and cement mixers. I am a pro at distinguishing a front end loader from a dump truck or paver :)
Leo is 19 and a half months old now; I can't believe it! He's been with us in person for over 6 months and in some ways it feels like longer and in some ways it feels like it has gone so quickly. When I think about all that Leo has done and learned, I'm overwhelmed with joy. Lately, he's been in a clingy, lovey dovey with mommy phase, which I not-so-secretly love. As I was waiting to bring Leo home from Korea, I wondered (okay, worried) that maybe Leo wouldn't need me, wouldn't rely on me, wouldn't turn to me in this way. So it fills me up inside to know that my little boy, the love of my life, thinks of me as his safe haven. Enjoy some new photos below :)
