Today was the big day! We legally became Leo's parents and Leo became an American citizen. Beyond words :)

Our official photo in the judge's private chambers following the swearing of the oaths and declaration. What a moment beyond compare. I remember the court clerk who took this picture, slowly counting down 3....2....1....and then flash. That moment stood still briefly and I soaked it in like the warm sun.

Heading to the court in the morning.

Leo laughing - what a day!

We ended the day with a lovely toast. We drank the Sambuca Robert's grandmother, Valentina, gave us during our honeymoon in Italy over 7 years ago. She told us (in Italian, of course!) to drink it when we had our first child. And so we drank it as the finale to our unbelievable journey to our son. Cheers!
Congratulations! We are so happy for you. What a special Thanksgiving this year!
