A "Mommy Face"
Lately, when I sigh, which is evidently more than I realize (sigh), Leo says, "What you worryin' about, Mommy?" which is both endearing and mildly alarming. Usually, I say, I'm not worrying, I'm just thinking." And he follows up with, "What you thinkin' about, Mommy." I've grown to like this exchange and the interesting conversation that usually ensues. I've always recognized Leo's natural empathy, and I love how he takes an interest in people and things, more and more questioning everything, wanting to understand.
So...the other day, when Leo started with the "What you worryin' about, Mommy," after an apparent sigh on my part, I said, "Leo, what is my face doing that makes you think I'm worrying or thinking?" Here's the result:
I don't like that face. I like to see Leo with a happy face! Love, Granny
