Easter Fun!

Leo demonstrates how to place a chocolate Easter Bunny on top of his head.

We had a lovely Easter weekend that included a parade, our own Easter egg hunt, making cookies, and dying eggs. The older Leo gets, the more enthusiastic he is and he really got into painting the eggs this year. His favorite part? Peeps. Like mother, like son :)

Leo is exuberant upon receiving his Peeps :)

Nothing is sweeter than the start of the hunt...

...except for the end of it.

Making silly faces and cookies.

Leo presses our flourless almond cookies with a fork.
Good job, Chef Leo!

Chef Leo adds the finishing touches!

The fruits of our efforts :)

Heading out to the Easter parade!

Leo meets the Easter Bunny on the street walking around!

The Easter Bunny immediately falls in love with Leo :)

There were lots of really old cars...

...and classic cars bearing stripes and stars.

There were ladies in bonnets with umbrellas...

...and skirt-wearing (er...kilt-wearing) fellas.

But, best of all, were little boys with attitude.
What you lookin' at, Mommy? This is MY Reeses Peanut Butter Cup.
Every finger-lickin' good inch of it.

  1. Beautiful Easter Day! It's nice that you have the parade and Easter Bunny in your town every year. I like the lady in white, so cute. Leo looks like he enjoyed himself. He's growing up so nice. When Leo started his egg hunt, was there a balloon there as a marker? Maybe we can skype on Monday.

    Love, Mom

  2. Next year I'll do a balloon to start it - that's a fun idea :)
