Guess Who's a Soccer Player Now?
Today marked Leo's first official day of playing soccer with a Parent and Me soccer class at
the park every Saturday. It was surreal and adorable to watch the
coach call his name, at which point Leo had to go give him a high five.
Leo was nervous, very engaged, and a bit self-conscious at first. He
wouldn't play soccer and dribble with Daddy unless Mommy did it, too.
Soon though, I was able to take my position as camerawoman and Leo was
increasingly comfortable. He got frustrated and screamed a few times
when Daddy reminded him that you can't use your hands in soccer, but he
was satisfied by the end when he earned a hand stamp from the coach and
an Italian ice from Mommy and Daddy. His favorite part? Scoring goals through Daddy's legs!
