Exciting news! After consulting with our agency here and in Korea, we've arranged to fly to Seoul and visit Leo the week of Thanksgiving. We'll be gone for a week and will probably see him once or twice for an hour or so each time. But when I contemplate the reality that in a week and a half I'll be seeing and touching Leo, I'm all smiles. It's unbelievable to have waited the eternity of these past months and now we'll get to at least hold him in 10 days!
Though we know how difficult it will be to leave him at the end of our trip, it will allow us to enjoy him and this phase in his life, meet and thank his foster mom, and learn about Korea and Leo's birth culture. Who am I kidding? I just want to wrap him up in my arms and never let him go :) I can't imagine how surreal it will be. There is a formality to Korean culture that is new for me and it will be odd to be "introduced" to Leo. Yet, I can 't wait.
The kind of cool thing is that Rob proposed to me on Thanksgiving 8 years ago. So we'll be meeting our son on the 8th anniversary of our engagement :) We've come a long way, baby!
Leo - we can't wait to meet you!!!
