Leo test drives some of his new toys on Christmas morning.
Continuing my rather belated posts on our Christmas trip, these are some highlights from Christmas Eve and Christmas. Because Leo had been in the hospital the day before, Leo's grandparents came to the cottage to visit him on Christmas Eve, instead of us heading to their place as planned. Spending the holiday in our 17th century farm cottage turned out to be a charming way to celebrate Christmas Eve and we enjoyed the rustic setting, intimate table, and cozy feeling of being together. Pop-Pop supplied 4 of the 7 traditional Italian fishes, but Leo stuck mostly to spaghetti and meatballs :) The next morning, Rob, Leo, and I enjoyed opening presents before a hectic Christmas day.
Pop-Pop and Leo enjoy Christmas dinner together.
Grammy and Leo share a chuckle.
Three generations sit in front of the fireplace.
Leo enjoys Pop-Pop playing with him.
Mommy & Daddy stayed up late wrapping, while Santa delivered presents to California.
On Christmas morning the following day, Leo happily gives Daddy one of the presents he got him: Cookie Monster boxer shorts!
This gift is a hit!
Robots aren't bad either :)
Mommy was beyond thrilled with her gift of tickets to the US National Figure Skating Championships in January (Mens & Pairs Free Skate).
