Leo sits on his favorite frog at the zoo.
When he saw him he said, "I missed him a little bit and he missed me a little bit, too."
Yesterday, we had fun taking Leo for a haircut and then heading to the local zoo. He was a perfect gentleman at his haircut, perhaps in part due to the lollipop that awaited him at the end :) Then we visited our favorite local zoo and enjoyed a sunny February day :)

Leo observes his haircut in the mirror with great interest. Normally, he sits in Mommy's lap but this time, for the first time, he was ready to sit in a car for his haircut. He chose the pink and purple jeep :)

Mommy & Daddy watch with pride.

After his haircut, Leo decided this yellow race car was a little more his speed.

Walking over the suspension bridge to the zoo, one of our favorite parts of the visit.

Leo helps Daddy get food for the animals at the petting zoo.

Leo fed miniature horses, cows, sheep, and goats. I'm glad he's so comfortable interacting with animals in this way. Even when he gets nervous, he pushes through it because of his eagerness.

The highlight for all of us was probably watching the jaguar. He came right up to the window and paced back and forth angrily for a long time.

It was an exciting sight and Leo was squealing with delight and fear, making himself and the other people standing near us laugh. He began imitating the jaguar, "Mommy, he was going backwards and forwards, backwards and forwards." When we left, the jaguar was still pacing at full speed, so at least we know it wasn't us ;P

Leo enjoyed his lunch of a cheeseburger and french fries.

Leo checks out the animal statues outside the main entrance.
