We're in Korea!

We left Tuesday morning and arrived here in Seoul Wednesday night. It's now Thursday afternoon, and we've just finished seeing Leo and his foster parents. We are tired but happy. It was wonderful to play with him again, though we also know that this is a very hard time for his foster family who loves him so much. We're heading out to lunch with the director of the agency and another family who is here to pick up their child, and then it's back to the airport tomorrow to bring Leo home :-) He's doing well - he has eight teeth, a little more hair, is catching a ball with both hands, and is almost walking (but not quite yet). Next time we post, we'll be back in the US with our little cutie patootie!

  2. I JUST found out about your blog. I can't believe my mom hadn't told me about it! I just read through all of your blog and got caught up. Grammy has been excited and keeping me up to date on Leo's progress. I was delighted to get an email entitled "Grandchild #4" announcing Leo's homecoming (and there was a link in the text so I clicked it and that's how I got here!)

(Technically, Leo is grandchild #3 since he's older than Keagan.) I hope we will be able to meet him (and YOU, Eve) this summer. We've only ever Skyped once before I think. We need to do that more often. Maybe soon we can have a "virtual playdate" with all our boys together! I'm so excited to have another nephew! (even if he's technically my step-nephew, it's all the same to me!)

Reading your journal was heart-wrenching and I feel like it's so unfair that I got the privilege of just fast forwarding through your lives while you went through this ordeal all this time. I can't tell you how many times I've thanked God for the gift of technology that brings people closer than they ever could be before. It's truly amazing and I'm so incredibly grateful for your blog and the time and energy to put into crafting it so we could come to know you and Leo. I always wished I could have been closer to my step-siblings and now I feel like I have a better chance of that!

Perhaps you might have some time once in a while to see my videos and little journal entries of your step-nephews on my own blog and online spaces. Might be something fun for you and Leo to watch our video logs of the boys. (I try to keep entries tagged with Lucian and Keagan's names so it makes it easier to wade through all the stuff I post.)

Lucian, Keagan and I watched your blog videos today. I explained to Lucian that Leo is his new cousin and told him perhaps we might see him this summer. Lucian said "but, I want to see him now!" It was so cute! (We're planning on being in PA June 1st through the end of July. Nate must report back last week of July.) If you're planning on being in PA any time this summer, I'd love to coordinate a visit!

So, when you get this, please let little Leo know that he has even more cousins and family waiting to meet him!

We wish you the best of luck in your travels back home (you're probably in the sky now or just getting back!)

Looking forward to more updates soon!
Add me to your Skype list (TheMacMommy) and let's have a video date sometime!

    Welcome Home Leo!!!

    Love,
    xoxoxo
